Our ‘Green’ Policy Today we celebrate World Environment Day. At The Point we strive to responsibly lesson our impact on the environment. We are doing this by implementing a number of ‘green’ practices into our daily operations and also encourage our guests to do the same while staying with us.
We’ve eliminated the use of single-use plastic containers and toiletries instead opting for paper products and reusable containers.
Our soaps, body wash, shampoos and conditioners are all 100% vegan with no parabens, sulfates or phosphates plus they are gluten free!
We conserve energy by taking advantage of the natural sea breezes and shutting off our AC units when a window or door is open or when leaving the room or office and also turn off lights and televisions when leaving the room. Guests can help us conserve water by turning off taps when not in use and by reusing their towels. Simply hang your towels if you wish to reuse them or place on the floor if you wish to have them replaced with fresh ones. We collect rainwater which is used for irrigation and treated for consumption in the dry season and during water shortages. When building the collection of residences located in the resort, we considered our environment and how we can be eco-friendly while maintaining the integrity of a luxury home. All our building are insulated, windows and doors sealed and have LoE technology to filter heat rays and prevent the buildings from heating up. All of our AC units are inverter types that are much more energy efficient.
Most importantly, our property has a state-of-the-art waste treatment system that produces potable water so none of our waste goes into the bay and our natural environment. Remember, while enjoying the environment to take some time to take care of it too.
